Biography...

Dr. Galloway began playing drums in 1966 playing rock-n-roll, rhythm and blues and country music.  His first 15 years took him through a wide range of music with numerous bands and studio recording from Milwaukee, Detroit and St. Louis areas to Philadelphia and Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Performing 6 nights a week during much of this time, he toured and played dance clubs with a wide variety of popular music.

Also in the mid-1970’s he studied classical music theory and composition for three years at Rowan State University, played numerous instruments in school (keyboards, saxophone, cello, bassoon, trombone, etc.) and expanded his skills as a versatile percussionist.  After playing drums with Webb Pierce (Grand Ole Opry and country music recording star) touring in southern New Jersey in 1975-1976, he started a new band, Stone Broke, in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Galloway also plays with the White Lies Band in Northern Indiana.

Dr. Galloway played through the 1980’s in clubs and private parties in Houston, TX, playing rock, rhythm & blues and country music.  He was a fulltime student during both the 70’s and 80’s and moved to Indiana in 1989.  After a Bachelor’s degree in Logic followed by Law School, Dr. Galloway received his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Houston, TX, in 1987 and is currently a tenured professor of Instructional Technology at Indiana University Northwest.  With several books and dozens of professional papers, he is recognized in several of the Who’s Who in America publications.  As hobbies, Dr. Galloway is a 5th Dan Master of Taekwondo, owner of Traditional Martial Arts in Merrillville, Indiana -  and also studies as an amateur astronomer.

Dr. Galloway’s Slingerland drum set, dating from the early 1970’s is still state-of-the-art to handle the biggest shows of Ernie Givens and the White Lies Band.  As one of the newest members, he has joined fellow musicians of the highest skills and extensive experience to play virtually anything from the past 40 years to today’s hot and challenging new country music.
